Saturday, December 7

11 AM – 2 PM.

Help restore Richland Creek habitats! Sign up to volunteer. You can take the skills you learn home with you to combat the city-wide invasive plant problem.

We are removing 3 primary invasive plants from habitats so the old trees can survive, and the new trees have room to grow. This project is part of our Riparian Renewal program that builds resilience and biodiversity back into Richland Creek habitats. Learn more about our Riparian Renewal program.

Park at the Wyoming Trailhead, located on the corner of 51st Avenue and Wyoming Avenue. There is also street parking on Wyoming Avenue; please do not block driveways or traffic when parking on the street.  Then take a short walk on the Greenway to our project site (see map below).

Wear your work clothes, shoes or boots, and dress for the current weather conditions.  We will provide tools and gloves, but feel free to bring your own. There will be pizza afterwords for volunteers.

If we need to reschedule due to weather conditions, we’ll post the change here and email you if you’ve signed up.
