“It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one destiny, affects all indirectly.” – Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1967
In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we’ll be hosting a community service event alongside Richland Creek on Saturday, January 19th. Come help us restore Richland Creek habitats by signing up to volunteer below! We’ll be planting trees and removing winter creeper ground cover from habitats so the old trees can survive.
Park at the Wyoming Trailhead, located on the corner of 51st and Wyoming Avenues, or even better, find a safe place to park along Wyoming Avenue. Please do not block driveways or traffic when parking on the street. Then take a short walk on the Greenway to the work site, as shown on the map below.
Wear your work clothes, shoes or boots, and dress for the current weather conditions. Feel free to bring your own shovel and gloves. Supplies will be provided to volunteers.
